Hello I'm Lisa Wehbe,
Whether you are a new or seasoned practitioner, welcome. Thank you for finding my website and for taking the time to read the information. Perhaps you wish to start a yoga practice or maybe it has been recommended by a heath provider that you join a class or find a teacher to address a specific need. Maybe you have a regular practice already and are looking for a class at the right time which suits you. Maybe you are a combination of these things. I have both group classes and 1-1 sessions to offer you depending on your needs.
I want you to know that whatever your reasons, you are welcome here, Yoga has benefits for everyone. In the ancient texts, Yoga is described as "The stilling of the fluctuations of the mind" and who couldn't do with a little more of that?
I enjoy creating classes which explore the breath, body and mind in integrated mindful movement. The need for flexibility to be supported by strength and stability are focal points of my teaching practice as well as helping people to achieve a "rest and digest" state.
At the heart of my teaching style is a nurturing approach where your comfort and yoga needs are paramount. Please look on the classes page for more detailed lesson information.
I have had a personal Yoga practice for 20 years and trained under Fire Angel Yoga for my YAP 200hrs Yoga Teaching certificate. I am also a qualified pre and post natal Yoga teacher and have a further qualification in Well Woman Yoga Therapy (sometimes known as Womb Yoga Therapy) which integrates yoga into the specific needs of women, our cycles, menarche, pregnancy, fertility, menopause and any and all things related to having or having had a uterus..
I came to Yoga many years ago because it was complimentary to training and working professionally as a dancer. I am also a qualified IDTA ballet and modern dance teacher. As I practiced Yoga over the years, I came to learn that Yoga has so much more to offer than just physical shapes.
I am insured through Yoga Alliance Professionals and am a BRC first aid certificate holder and have a full DBS check.
